# Using the sxETH Testnet

We know that navigating new protocols can be tricky, specially on a testnet. That is why we have created this step by step guide to using the sxETH Testnet.

### **Step 1) Add Holesky and Hekla to your wallet**

Navigate to <https://chainlist.org/> and input either Hekla or Holesky in the search bar. Click on ‘Add to Metamask’

### **Step 2) Obtain Holesky ETH**

You will need some Holesky ETH to start. You can mine some by visiting the following link:[ https://holesky-faucet.pk910.de/](https://holesky-faucet.pk910.de/) . Be aware that you will need a Gitcoin Passport score of 2 to use the faucet.

### **Step 3) Navigate to StakeEase**

Go to[ https://testnet.stakeease.com](https://testnet.stakeease.com/). Here, you can select the network on which you wish to mint sxETH, either Holesky or Hekla.

### **Step 4) Bridge ETH from Holesky to Hekla** (if required)

If you chose Taiko’s Hekla network, you will need to bridge ETH from Holesky to Hekla. You can use Nitro bridge for this [— https://testnet.routernitro.com](https://testnet.routernitro.com/). Select Holesky as the source chain and Taiko as the destination chain.

**Step 5) Swap ETH for sxETH at StakeEase**

Return to StakeEase, input the amount of ETH you would like to use, and click ‘Swap’.

**Congratulations.** That’s it; you are now a proud holder of sxETH.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.stakeease.com/stakeease/guides/using-the-sxeth-testnet.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
